My 11-year-old came home late Friday night from her 5th grade class trip to Washington D.C. and brought back a terrible cold as a souvenir. Despite being sick during the last half of the trip, she did enjoy herself immensely. From the educational sightseeing and shopping and hanging out with her friends, I thought she wouldn't have time to miss her family back home. She proved me wrong with daily 'I miss everyone' texts and calls. Although I wasn't able to care for her for those 4 days, I'm making it up double time by trying to nurse her back to health.

Sew Happy!
Oh, Brother CE-5000PRW
I've wanted a sewing machine for years now but I haven't gotten around to getting one because I really don't know how to sew. I have big ideas about making clothes and costumes for my girls or just being able to hem my own pants.
Not until recently, when my younger sister got herself one, that I started to do some research on them. I found a Brother sewing machine that I would love to learn on so now it's up to me to persuade Mr. A to invest in my big ideas.

A Sweet Surprise
The only time I walk up our driveway to retrieve the mail is when I'm expecting a package from one of my internet retail therapy sessions. So, when Mr. A came home with mail in hand, I was surprised to see a package addressed to L.J from her Auntie E. I ripped into it (with the help of L.J) and squealed with delight to see a beautifully handcrafted Moose A. Moose and Zee D. Bird!
Thank you, Auntie E.!

Crawling On All Fours
L.J has been crawling for a month now and when she would crawl on the kitchen floor with pants on she would have no traction and slip and go nowhere. She found a solution - pants or no pants.
(Check out her sweet bed head!)
