My Ass

I was on Etsy about a month ago and came across a Centaur wooden pull toy.
Ya.
How strange is that?
I would not let L.J pull that thing anywhere.
I don't like Centaurs.
Half man, half anything just gives me the creeps.
And don't get me started about the Old Spice commercial with the Centaur.
I can't even look at that commercial when it comes on.

So, I went to the local thrift store and picked up a few things.
Including this cute donkey for a whopping 33 cents.

I showed it to Mr. A and he said it looks like a Centaur except he's half basket.
Thanks for ruining the cuteness of it for me, Mr. A.
Poor donkey might end up in our next garage sale.

Girl Power

It's going to be a long night.
I developed a migraine late in the afternoon and the only way for me to get rid of them is to sleep it off.
I ended up taking a 2.5 hour nap.
My migraine went away but now I won't be able to sleep.
And my back where the patch test is taking place is itching like crazy!
I want to just rip it off and scratch it like a mad woman.
Tomorrow can't come soon enough.

L.J was a fussy girl today.
Very fussy.
I couldn't soothe her to save my life.
I even took her outside for a stroll but that didn't help.
And she loves it outside!
It might have been because her schedule was thrown off just a bit.
The Aung came over in the morning for me to take her to her surgery appointment and wait with her until The Farmer came.

She went in for a routine boobie job and, honestly, it was a waste of money because the girl already had some!
She could have let me go in place of her, though, and written it off as a charitable donation on her taxes next year.
Anyway, she's recovering nicely and I'm happy for her!

Ughhh.
I can't stop itching.

TLH had spring and graduation pictures today.

She was so excited to be wearing a dress instead of the dreaded school uniform.
She even wore little heels.
I knew she got a little taste of what being a woman is really like when she came home with her dressy shoes in hand and her feet hurting.
Poor thing.
She did look beautiful, though.
Even in pain.

Another Tat?

No.
Not another one.
I don't think I'll get another one for a long time.
Mr. A and I plan on getting each other's names when we're 50.
He says by then we'll definitely know that we're stuck with one another.
That would mean that I would be getting it first since I'm 5 years older than he is.
He teases me all the time about how I'll be in the AARP plan before him.
Ya, thanks, Mr. A.
The "bandage" is actually a patch test for my allergies.
I had to bring in all the products that I use from shampoo to cleaning products.
I even brought in makeup - which wasn't much because I hardly wear any.
Though, I probably should.
My future sister-in-law's father works for Sephora - the most fabulous makeup store ever! - and she brings me lots of great makeup, but most of it ends up just looking pretty on my table.
My skin is so sensitive that when I use it even once, red spots will appear and my skin will dry out.
Anyway, if you look closely you can see dots on the patch.
Those are all the samples I brought in.
I wonder what I'll be allergic to.
Most of the things I brought in were hypoallergenic.
I'll guess we'll find out on Thursday!

A Journey

Today was TLH's appointment.
The receptionist wrote the appointment for a regular health check
(she had one 2 months ago and left with 5 shots)
so when we were waiting for the Dr., the nurse asked her to take her clothes off and put on the dreaded paper gown on. She didn't like that at all the first time, so this time she was so upset, she almost burst into tears.
But, the nurse poked her head back in and told her she didn't have to since we were there to talk about her behavior.
While we were waiting for the Dr. to come in, Tatiana killed time by making a dance out of a diagram that was on the wall.

I have to say, it was pretty hilarious.
She is a funny one.
To make a long story short, the appointment ended with a few tears shed and a referral to another Dr.
She has a few concerning behavioral habits that need to be looked at a little closer.
This is just the first step in, what seems will be, a long process of making things right.

To Go Or Not To Go

Tatiana is being inducted into her school's Beta club and, of course, I want to be there.
Problem is, her dad and her grandmother will be there.
We don't get along at all.
And I can honestly say that I have hatred for him.
And everytime I see him I throw up in my mouth.
Should I go?
Until I figure this out, I'll enjoy my fishy kisses.

Farmville

Happy Easter!
We spent Easter with Mr. A's family on the chicken farm.
Thanks to Delilah, we were able to bring the wagon and cart L.J around on the farm.

And L.J loved it!
Mr. A's oldest brother is a chicken farmer and today we got to meet the new animal additions.
There were 3 pygmy goats (did you know their pupils were rectangular?) and a calf in one pen.

And more calves and cows and a super cute donkey in another.
L.J liked watching Auntie Aung feed the cows and goats apples.

Notice I didn't do any of the feeding.
I'm just not an outdoorsy, farm kinda girl.
But I do love going there.
I always have fun with The Aung.
We were supposed to decorate eggs together, but she ended up doing the majority of them.

I just left a big mess for her to clean up.
And a green ring on her table.
Oopsie.
Sorry, Aung!

We didn't do an egg hunt (I know, I'm such a slacker mom) but L.J had just as much fun playing with those eggs as she would have finding them.
Oh, and you can find that cute owl egg cosy tutorial here.
L.J and TLH racked up this Easter.
Auntie B-rit and Uncle C-Bonez brought the kiddies awesome Easter baskets.

And not to mention the early Easter baskets they both got from G.G. and Popi.
The Easter Bunny got in on some of the action also.
(TLH still believes in the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy and Santa Claus.)
L.J got a peek-a-boo toy

and TLH got an Easy Stitcher sewing machine.

I hope everyone enjoyed their Easter as much as we did.
And I'll be sure to add 'egg hunting' on the agenda next year!

Who's The Fool

I woke up this morning not even realizing that it was already the month of April. It seems like March just whizzed on by.
I realized it was April Fool's Day when Martha Stewart worked a burnt hand prank on everyone.
Classic.
Who knew Martha Stewart had a sense of humor.
I tried to play a prank on Mr. A by rubber banding the hose attachment at the sink.
The joke was on me, though.
For one, the rubber band wasn't on tight enough.
And second, Mr. A didn't even turn the water on full blast so water barely trickled out of the hose.
After that failed attempt of a prank, Mr. A and I took L.J to see the Easter Bunny.

I was hoping to get TLH home on Saturday and take them both to get their picture made, but her loser dad wouldn't send her home one day early.
So, it was just going to be L.J.
Or so I thought.
She wasn't able to sit on the Easter Bunny's lap by herself so I ended up in the picture as well. (I guess walking out of the house with my hair halfway brushed and makeup on today wouldn't have hurt.)

That could be why she wasn't afraid of him.
She even tried to pet him.
When that was all said and done, Mr. A took us out to eat.

Bad idea.
She was fine during appetizers, but after that, all hell broke loose.

Food went flying and there were a couple of times I thought she was going to throw herself out of the high chair.
And then she spilled water and ice all over the both of us.
Sitting in cold, wet jeans through dinner is not fun.
We ended up getting our food to go and we headed home.
I guess that was L.J's April Fool's Day joke for me.
Having to walk out of a crowded restaurant looking like I pee'd my pants.
