Spring is here!

And that can only mean one thing in our home.

Soccer!
TLH had her first game

last Saturday and her team was able to make one goal

before the game ended.

The final score :

LadyBugs - 6, Team 2 - 1

First, let me just start by saying that the girls

need a team name.

Why they don't have one yet

boggles my mind.

When you're on the sidelines,

it's nice to cheer and scream out the team's name.

Especially when you haven't memorized all the girls' names.

Anyway,

I think they played decently considering they had only one practice

and that practice didn't consist of all the players.

TLH played goalie

the second half of the game and she did really well.

She had one really great block that she was proud of.

She didn't have gloves on so she was

blocking bare handed. OUCH!

The opposing goalie had gloves and I was

tempted

to walk over to the ref and be "one of those parents" who

swears, yells and starts swinging calls the game unfair

and causes a scene.

By the time we got home from the game,

TLH had battle wounds on her forearms.

Maybe their team name should be "The Bruisers".
